Things that work should not be changed!
This statement, seemingly agreeable, would lead us to think that when things work, no innovation is in principle necessary; on the contrary, we see every day how the evolution of the situations around us often requires us to make small or big changes in order to keep up with the changing times.
In our company, innovation is the driving force that powers all activities, and while there are many things that work well, we always wonder whether they can be further improved to offer our customers a better outcome and experience.
The latest example of this journey of ongoing enhancement and innovation involves the new design of the rods used for ground anchoring, a key element in the construction of vineyard and orchard systems.
Even though the rods used up to now have worked remarkably well, we questioned whether there was a chance to increase their performance, especially in view of the fact that, in recent years, climate events have grown increasingly violent and sudden, to the extent that they put a strain on the plant's structural components.
This is especially the case for anchor rods, which, when subjected to particular stress, can fail at both ends, jeopardising the tightness of the entire system.
In order to improve the performance of this critical element, we therefore decided to modify the production method, eliminating the classic twisted slipknot and instead producing it with a strong weld seam on both ends.
You can see for yourself, thanks to the video we are sharing, the great difference in strength between the old rods and the new welded rods with slipknots.
Thanks to this innovation, we have been able to increase the performance of one of the main elements of our tensile systems, thus ensuring better weather resistance.
And this is the result of 60 years of experience during which we have been learning not to trust the statement: 'things that work should not be changed'. Instead, we are convinced that 'constant improvement' is the only way of thinking and acting and this will allow us to stand by our customers for a long time to come.
